Travel by foot

For those living near to the college, walking might be a great option for your daily commute. It is now well documented that walking is one of the best ways of improving health and fitness, as well as reducing stress levels.

Travel by bicycle

With its central location right on the river, Bedford College is ideally located along several paths for those who want to cycle into the college. There are showers and changing facilities situated in the Springs Building for those who walk or cycle.

Travel by bus

Bedford College's central location makes it ideal for travel by bus. We are located 5 minutes walk from the Central Bus Station and are on several bus routes. For further details, please see the links below.

Elstow Park & Ride
Bedford's Park and Ride service runs from Elstow to Bedford College. Each day using the Park and Ride service saves 0.6kg of CO2. This is equivalent to boiling 10 kettles or powering a TV for 5 and a half hours! It's the easiest way to drive into Bedford. Buses leave every 12 minutes. Find out more by visiting the website.

Travel by train

Bedford College is within walking distance of both train stations in Bedford. Bedford St. John's station, a 3-minute walk from our campus on Cauldwell Street, is on the the Marston Vale Rail Line, which runs services all the way to Bletchley.

The main station at Bedford, which connects the town with London, Luton, and Leicester, is a 10-minute walk from the campus on Cauldwell Street. This station is run by First Capital Connect.

Travel by car share

Everyday hundreds of people head to Bedford College to attend classes or work. Many of those people are coming from the same places to get here. In order to save money, have you ever considered car-sharing?
