My project uses the beads and chains of broken
jewellery, and transforms them either into new bracelets or
incorporates the beads into a new function. Often old jewellery is
just thrown away, but the beads themselves can be recycled and make
new and functional bracelets, necklaces or earings.
I have also experimented with fabrics; tearing
the material and weaving it into braids which can be used as
necklaces. I have found some designers who have used this method
and style and so I am taking inspiration from them.
I want to explore wall panels too, incorporating beads, or
portraits of children.
